Good Beginnings Fund

Program Description

The Good Beginnings Fund is designed to provide children and youth under 18 the opportunity to participate in community programs and activities that enrich their lives and promote good development. The Good Beginnings Fund is also able to provide funds for basic necessities such as eyeglasses and medication under special circumstances.


  • Disadvantaged or at risk child/youth who has no other funding options available
  • Child/youth is under 18 at time of request

Application Process

A referral agent such as a social worker, SchoolsPlus Outreach worker, Public Health Nurse, or other relevant professional must complete all sections of this application and submit it to the fund manager. Applications cannot be accepted if they are submitted by a child/youth or family member/relative.
