The Halifax Region Children’s Aid Foundation provides post-secondary tuition support bursaries primarily to youth formerly in care and custody of the Province of Nova Scotia. Bursaries may either cover partial or full tuition costs depending on funding availability. Bursaries are awarded in June and December. All funds awarded will be sent directly to the applicant’s post-secondary institution.
- Applicant must complete all sections of the application form themselves
- Student must be either enrolled or returning to a postsecondary institution the following term
- Applications are usually youth formerly in care, however applications submitted by at risk youth are also considered
The applicant must complete all sections of the application form themselves except for the letter of recommendation. The letter of recommendation must be current. Applicants who are re-applying must go through the complete application process, this includes filling out the entire application form and acquiring a new letter of recommendation.
