Message From the Executive Director

We are 20 years young!

Here at the Foundation we are very excited to be going into our 20th Anniversary year with the launch of a new look and a new website! We have had an amazing twenty years of service to our community and this is due in no small part to the wonderful support we have had from both our national partner, the Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada, and our local partners including the Halifax Youth Foundation, The Nova Scotia Dental Association, The United Way Halifax, our faithful donors and all of our event sponsors and partners in the community.  Not to mention all of the volunteers and professionals that have worked tirelessly to help raise money and make good things happen!

We look forward to continuing our good work on behalf of disadvantaged children and youth – whether it be sponsoring further education through our Education Achievement Fund, helping kids go to summer camp, bridging gaps through our Good Beginnings Fund, providing oral health care for youth, or helping to purchase household items for youth transitioning out on their own. Our national funds allow us to help out with such things as tutoring, recreational and cultural activities and provide comfort kits for children coming into care.

As we celebrate our twentieth anniversary, we look forward to continuing and expanding our wonderful partnerships within the community knowing that we can only achieve what we do with your kindhearted support.  I would therefore like to thank each and every one of you for your continued generosity in enriching the lives of disadvantaged children and youth in our community.
